No — IGDB's API is free to use via a Twitch developer account. You just need to create one and generate a Client ID and Secret.
IGDB enforces its own request limits. The importer throttles every request to stay comfortably under them, so imports may take a little longer on very large batches, but they won't get your API key blocked.
It re-fetches that game's data from IGDB and updates the post — useful when a rating changes or a new screenshot is added upstream. Any manual edits you've made, like a custom download link, are left alone.
